NTSA Names Elite Advisors of 2023

ARLINGTON, VA – The National Tax-Deferred Savings Association, part of the American Retirement Association (ARA), is proud to announce its Elite Advisors of 2023.

NTSA Elite Advisors are honored in person at the annual NTSA Awards luncheon, Monday, February 27, 2023, during the NTSA Summit, “Step Up,” at the Tampa Grand Hyatt, February 26 – 28, 2023.  Since the Awards’ 2014 inception, there have been 39 NTSA financial advisors recognized with this achievement. 

This year’s Elite Advisors are:

Finnegan Honored With ASPPA’s Harry T. Eidson Founders Award

National Harbor, MD — The American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) has honored Thomas (Tom) Finnegan with the prestigious Harry T. Eidson Founders Award during the association’s 2022 ASPPA Annual Conference.  The award recognizes retirement professionals that have made a lasting impact on the industry.

Retirement Industry Leader Nevin Adams to “Retire”

ARLINGTON, VA, (October 25, 2022)—After a career in employee benefits spanning more than three decades, Nevin Adams, Chief Content Officer of the American Retirement Association, has announced his “retirement” from that position, effective March 1, 2023. 

During his eight-year tenure at ARA, Adams, one of the retirement industry’s most prolific writers, has transformed ARA’s publications, notably NAPA-Net, to “must read” status among retirement industry professionals for coverage of the latest trends in research, litigation, regulation and legislation.

ASPPA Welcomes Bonestroo as President

National Harbor, MD  - At its annual conference, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA)  welcomed Justin Bonestroo as the organization’s new president, with a term to begin on January 1, 2023.

 

Bonestroo is a senior vice president at CBIZ Retirement Plan Services.  He is a member of the Society of Pension Actuaries (MSPA), and an Enrolled Actuary (EA).  He recently concluded a term as President of the American Society of Enrolled Actuaries, one of the sister associations of the American Retirement Association.

 

NAPA Launches Exclusive NQPA™ Credential for Advisors

ARLINGTON, VA — As employers look for creative ways to recruit and retain talent in the wake of the Great Resignation, they are increasingly looking to so-called nonqualified plan designs – and the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) has launched a new certificate program designed to help advisors educate and evaluate those alternatives.
